The TP-Link Archer BE670 is a new WiFi 7 router with high-end specifications. The device supports the 6GHz band and can hit data speeds of up to 5,765 Mbps, the same transfer rate applies to the 5GHz band. 2.4GHz connections max out at 688 Mbps. Devices are spread across different bands for optimal performance, and MU-MIMO and OFDMA are supported.

According to the TP-Link, the Archer BE670 is suitable for larger houses with three bedrooms. To cover larger areas and improve wireless speeds, the router can establish a mesh network via EasyMesh. Six external antennas are included and are clearly visible, as are a total of five Ethernet ports. The 10 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps ports can each be used as either a WAN or LAN port.

In practice, it may be more practical to use the fastest Ethernet port for connecting a NAS rather than the modem. Either way, three additional Ethernet ports offer the usual Gigabit speeds, but the TP-Link Archer BE670 lacks a USB port. Such a port can serve as a very basic alternative to a NAS by allowing an external hard drive to be easily shared within the network. That said, separate networks for IoT devices are supported.
